Sarasota defeated Braden River 1-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Tanner Crump induced a groundout from Alonso to finish off the game.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Sarasota pitchers struck out six, while Pericozzi sat down three.
