Sarasota JV v Palmetto, 10-1
Sarasota had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Palmetto 10-1.
Sarasota scored four runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Luke Binswanger, a single by Cale Kreiger, a groundout by Rex Smith, and an error on a ball put in play by Tyler Maszak.
Logan Chase got the start for Sarasota. Chase allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Danny Kaczmark started the game for Palmetto. The pitcher surrendered one run on one hit over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Baden Wallace and Landon Shepard entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Alex Reichel led Sarasota with two hits in four at bats.
Collin Stover went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Palmetto in hits.
