Sarasota fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-3 loss to Venice on Thursday. Venice scored on a single by Connor O'Sullivan and a single by Grant Nokes in the second inning.

Houston Wynn pitched Venice to victory lasting two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out one and walking zero. Simon Hilcomb and Ian Jensen entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
